Employment Type: Per Diem — Independent Contractor (1099)
Looking for well-paid, straightforward work that doesn’t require a clinical licence? VitalCheck Wellness is hiring a Patient & Administrative Coordinator to run front-of-house at two corporate flu vaccination clinics in Washington, DC.
You are the first person patients see. You check them in, keep the paperwork moving and keep the room running smoothly while our nursing team handles the vaccinations. This is a non-clinical position — you will not administer vaccines or perform any clinical procedures.
Availability for both dates is preferred, but you may apply if you can cover only one — just tell us which.
Why this one is worth your time
- $20 per hour, paid for the full scheduled shift including setup and breakdown
- No clinical licence or certification required
- Healthcare experience welcome but genuinely not required — you are briefed and trained before the clinic
- Weekday daytime hours — no evenings, no weekends, no on-call
- Two defined dates you can plan around, booked well in advance
- Professional corporate office setting in downtown DC
- You work alongside an experienced nursing team, never on your own
What you’ll do
- Greet and check in patients.
- Help patients complete required forms.
- Keep patient flow organized.
- Direct patients to the appropriate nurse.
- Answer basic non-clinical questions.
- Assist nurses with simple administrative tasks.
- Help keep the check-in area organized.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in customer service, reception, front desk, administrative support or another patient-facing role.
- Healthcare, medical office, wellness clinic or patient registration experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear, friendly communication with patients.
- Basic computer and administrative skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow established privacy requirements.
Good to know
- A briefing and training session are provided before the clinic, so you will know exactly what to expect on the day.
- Dress code is business casual.
- The full 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM shift is paid at $20 per hour. Setup and breakdown time is paid at the same rate.
The engagement
This is a per diem, 1099 independent contractor engagement covering the two clinic dates listed above. It is a defined, short-term assignment rather than an ongoing position, and there is no commitment on either side beyond those dates.
