Description
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an expert in Advita’s Extremities product lines and clinical procedures to be able to articulate and demonstrate these concepts to Advita’s employees, field sales organization and healthcare professionals.
- Teach the safe and effective use of Advita’s products and services.
- Develop and lead a comprehensive commercial training strategy across Extremities.
- Own onboarding and role-based training for new and existing internal team members and external sales agents.
- Develop product, clinical, procedural and competitive training programs aligned with business priorities.
- Partner with Marketing, Commercial leadership as well as the Field Sales Organization leaders to identify capability gaps and translate them into targeted training programs.
- Support new product launches with comprehensive training and field readiness plans.
- Establish consistent training standards, curriculum and certification requirements across the commercial organization.
- Develop scalable training resources, including live, virtual, digital and on-demand learning.
- Measure training effectiveness and commercial readiness through defined KPIs and competency assessments.
- Develop and execute a global medical education strategy across the Extremities business.
- Partner with Marketing, Commercial and Events to develop an educational strategy for surgeon courses, cadaver labs, fellows programs, roadshows, workshops and other clinical education experiences
- Partner with surgeon faculty and internal clinical experts to develop high-quality, clinically relevant educational content.
- Ensure educational programs progress appropriately from foundational knowledge to advanced procedural proficiency.
- Develop faculty strategy, including faculty identification, development and engagement by partnering with Marketing and Surgeon Relations.
- Partner with Meetings & Events to ensure seamless execution of education programs while maintaining ownership of educational objectives, curriculum and learner experience.
- Expand digital and on-demand education to increase reach and scalability.
- Establish processes to evaluate educational impact on knowledge, confidence, procedural proficiency and product adoption.
- Build a comprehensive learning architecture across professional training and medical education.
- Establish competency frameworks for new and existing internal team members and external sales agents.
- Develop structured learning pathways by role, experience level, product and procedure.
- Implement assessment and certification mechanisms to validate knowledge and competency.
- Partner with HR and Quality to identify and implement a learning management system and digital education infrastructure.
- Create dashboards and metrics to monitor participation, completion, knowledge gain, competency and program effectiveness.
- Continuously assess learner needs and use data, field feedback and customer insights to improve programs.
- Develop a sustainable "train-the-trainer" model to expand educational reach and consistency within each agency.
- Partner with Product Management and E&D to translate product strategy and clinical value propositions into effective educational content.
- Partner with Commercial leadership to align education and training priorities with business strategy and growth objectives
- Partner with Meetings & Events to coordinate logistics and delivery of educational programs.
- Partner with Clinical and E&D to ensure scientific and clinical accuracy, including translating scientific publications and clinical evidence into clear, practical education that helps inform the field sales organization and health care professionals.
- Collaborate with surgeon faculty and external experts to ensure educational programs reflect current clinical practice and unmet needs.
- Establish governance and prioritization processes to align education investments with business priorities.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, healthcare, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 12 years in related industry experience
- Licensed clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), Physician Assistant (PA), or Medical Doctor (MD) preferred.
- Strategic and analytic mindset with ability to evaluate, develop and execute
- Proven track record of leading and influencing global teams
- Strong understanding of orthopedic industry
- Knowledge of global orthopedic market
- Ability to interact and build lasting relationships with surgeons and sales personnel in a fast-paced, execution-focused culture
- Ability to effectively communicate and present to all levels of internal and external organization
- Ability to travel 40-50% of time
