Location: Dallas, TX- Hybrid, 2 days onsite
The Proposal Writer prepares winning client facing proposals for AMN by determining response approach, gathering and formatting relevant information, writing and reviewing drafts and obtaining required approvals for successful submissions. The Proposal Writer meets proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval, entering and monitoring tracking data, coordinating requirements with contributors, contributing proposal status information to review meetings, and transmitting proposals. The role directly interfaces with all levels of Executive Management and thus requires polished communication skills and proven proofreading and editing competencies.
Job Tasks:
Facilitates proposal development life cycle from receipt of RFP through final submission
Determines and coordinates proposal outline and schedule to meet proposal deadline
Conducts proposal kickoff meetings with internal stakeholders to review proposal timeline, milestones, and responsibilities to meet bid deadline.
Collects and prepares RFP questions to be submitted to client
Develops proposal response by assembling content, coordinating with subject matter experts, and writing content
Prepares and managed draft cycle review for sales and executive leadership
If the client is a current client in any capacity, researches the client to determine and pull data on the existing relationship(s) and our service history
Responsible for substantive editing and proofing of all submission documents including content, accuracy, grammatical and spelling correctness, format, etc.
Prepares and/or partners with marketing/SME to complete required supporting documentation, graphics, and tables
Completes required forms and obtains required electronic approvals and signatures
Ensures the final proposal response is submitted on time and according to client requirements
Incorporates the use of AI thoughtfully into our proposal processes ensuring smooth project management and content development
Maintains assigned sections of the Content Library within proposal technology
Conducts and documents capture intelligence research using the prospective client's website and other resources on the prospective client
Supports Proposal Management with additional projects, as needed
Education, Certifications & Experience
Minimum Experience & Education:
Bachelor’s Degree plus 2-5 years OR High School Diploma/GED plus 4-7 years of work experience with formal bid writing and management
Experience responding to government, public sector, education, healthcare, or workforce solutions RFPs.
Experience with staffing services, workforce solutions, healthcare staffing, education staffing, or technology-related proposals Experience working within proposal management platforms such as: Responsive, Loopio, and/or Qvidian
Experience utilizing AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar technologies to improve content development and productivity.
Preferred Experience
Experience in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

Pay Rate
$66,500 - $79,000 SalaryFinal pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
