Description
American Heritage Credit Union, a $5+ billion credit union, has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Indirect Lending Specialist. This position is responsible for all auto and recreational vehicle loan application and servicing functions.
REQUIREMENTS/DUTIES:
- Perform the indirect pre-funding loan audit process.
- Ensure all pertinent loan documents are present and properly signed.
- Review all loan packages for accuracy and completeness of all documents.
- Complete audit sheet checklist for each loan package.
- Perform the loan onboarding introduction calls to all indirect borrowers.
- Provide 30 second overview of American Heritage and our mission to serve its members and community.
- Verify new loan request for accuracy and follow identity authentication procedures to prevent fraudulent loans.
- Cross-sell qualified direct consumer loan products and services.
- Perform the indirect pre-funding loan audit process.

- Perform the new membership account opening process.
- Input, review and approve membership applications in Meridian Link for new members.
- Scan and upload member service request forms and all forms of identification to the membership application in Meridian Link.
- Verify that the account was created successfully and accurately in Symitar and that the member deposit was processed correctly.
- Complete successful due diligence process for every new member, including verification of address and identification.
- Maintain audit log for new accounts opened, and forward membership packages to Account Services.
- Perform the indirect loan closing process
- Validate loan terms in Meridian Link.
- Match contracted loan terms.
- Ensure the application reflects the correct dealership and reserve information.
- Book and fund loans through Meridian Link for applications from CUDL, Dealertrack, and Route One portals.
- Complete ACH origination through online teller for applications from Dealertrack and Route One portals.
- Perform the indirect post funding review process.
- Review funded loan package and new loan records in Symitar.
- Validate all disbursed amounts including dealer reserve
- Ensure that all pertinent loan documents are present and properly signed.
- Fulfill the indirect post-funding Quality Control correction process.
- Monitor indirect correction queues in Meridian Link for Loan or membership applications that have been returned with errors.
- Correct account opening and loan closing errors in a timely manner.
- Call lender or dealer to follow up as needed.
- Process GL adjustment transactions as needed.
- Perform the lien assignment process for all indirect title loans.
- Make initial outbound calls within the first 30 days of funding to ensure lien assignments are in process.
- Perform a second outbound call to follow up prior to 60 days from funding to ensure that the lien assignments are in process.
- At 60 days from funding mail a demand letter for all lien assignments in process and escalate matter to immediate supervisor.
- Maintain timely status comments in Symitar for each auto lien assignment in process.
- Prepare for the next role.
- Complete Level One Loan Officer Training Program by completing extensive training in Underwriting.
- Assist in Dealer Site Visits.
- Support all indirect events.
- Must be available to travel between Philadelphia, Bucks, and Montgomery Counties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least one to three years of experience with knowledge in lending operations preferred.
- Working knowledge of Symitar and Meridian Link preferred.
EDUCATION
- Requires a minimum of an associate college degree or working toward a four-year college degree education required; a four-year college degree preferred.
WORK HOURS
- Full time position
- Must be available to work evening and Saturday hours.
- Hours are subject to change at any time at the discretion of management based on the needs of the Credit Union.
