Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: Up to JP¥9,000,000 annually

Work Setup: Onsite 

Shift Schedule: Day Shift

Location: Tokyo, Japan

 

The Role

The ideal candidate will. participate in the upstream design and construction of enterprise IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud). This will be based on a thorough understanding of client business requirements, lead architecture design and technology selection, comprehensively considering high availability, scalability, security, and cost factors to formulate optimal solutions.

 

Your Responsibilities:

• Requirement definition and current state (As-Is) analysis, To-Be architecture design
  
• Basic and detailed design for server/network/cloud environments - Cloud platform design and optimization based on AWS/Azure/GCP
  
• Planning migration from on-premises to cloud and discussing technical roadmaps
  
• Proposing architecture solutions that comprehensively consider performance, high availability, and cost
  
• Identifying and resolving technical issues, troubleshooting
  
• Technical leadership within projects and providing technical support to team members
  
• Technical negotiation and communication with clients, writing proposal materials and design documents

 

What We're Looking For:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in designing and building IT infrastructure (servers/networks/cloud) 
• Knowledge and practical experience with Windows Server or Linux
• Network fundamentals to application-level knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls, Load Balancers, etc.)
• Practical work experience with either AWS/Azure/GCP 
• Experience in upstream processes such as requirement definition and basic design
• Ability to write design documents and proposals
• Knowledge and experience in Linux or Windows servers
• Work experience in cloud environments such as AWS/Azure
• AWS certification qualifications (e.g., Solutions Architect)
• Must be interested to learn or must have experience in IaC (Terraform, etc.) and automation tools 
• Experience collaborating with offshore/overseas team members
• Experience using AI (Generative AI, etc.) for requirement gathering, document writing, and design assistance, or willingness to learn
• Experience leveraging AI to improve business efficiency or quality, or strong interest in such explorations
• Understanding or interest in system architecture design predicated on AI (including architectural planning for AI applications)
• Business-level Japanese proficiency (equivalent to JLPT N2 or above)
• Business-level English proficiency
