The Job:
As Manager, Market Intelligence, you will help shape the future of our Tools & Outdoor business by delivering actionable market and competitive insights across the U.S., Europe, and key international markets. In this role, you will partner closely with cross-functional and regional teams to identify trends, assess market dynamics, and translate complex data into clear recommendations that inform strategic and commercial decisions.
You will:
Deliver market and competitive insights: Monitor market trends, competitive activity, consumer behavior, and channel dynamics across the U.S., Europe, and other priority international markets to identify opportunities and risks.
Support strategic decision-making: Provide regular, actionable insights that inform business priorities, category strategies, and growth initiatives.
Translate data into business impact: Synthesize multiple data sources into clear, concise insights and recommendations for business leaders and cross-functional partners.
Develop compelling stories from data: Build presentations, dashboards, and visualizations that clearly communicate what is happening in the market, why it matters, and what actions should be considered.
Drive global perspective: Compare trends across regions and markets, highlighting key differences in consumer needs, competitive intensity, pricing, channel structure, and market maturity.
Partner across functions and regions: Collaborate with category management, brand insights, commercial teams, regional stakeholders, and other partners to ensure market intelligence is embedded in decision-making.
Manage projects with pace and discipline: Lead multiple workstreams simultaneously, balancing speed, quality, and attention to detail.
Support capability development: Help strengthen market intelligence tools, processes, and ways of working to improve the quality, consistency, and impact of insights.
Manage external partners: Support relationships with data, research, and analytics suppliers, helping evaluate outputs and identify opportunities to improve insight generation.
The Person:
You are intellectually curious, analytically strong, and energized by turning complex information into clear business direction. You are comfortable working across regions, functions, and data sources, and you bring a global mindset to understanding markets, consumers, and competitors.
You also have:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in market intelligence, strategic insights, business analytics, strategy, consulting, or related fields.
Experience working with multiple data sources to generate actionable business insights, including sources such as Euromonitor, Circana/NPD, Numerator, YipitData, GfK/NIQ, retailer POS data, and other market or consumer data sources.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize large and complex data sets into clear takeaways.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical or detailed analysis into simple, compelling messages for non-technical audiences.
Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with confidence engaging business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust across functions, regions, and levels of the organization.
A proactive, self-directed approach and comfort operating with ambiguity.
A global mindset, with an appreciation for differences across geographies, channels, consumers, and competitive landscapes.
Experience mentoring junior team members or contributing to team capability building is a plus.
