Description
The College of Business and Engineering invites applications for an Administrative Assistant. This position provides financial, administrative, and operational support to the College and School of Engineering and reports to the Associate Dean. The Administrative Assistant manages budgets, reconciles financial records, coordinates purchasing for engineering laboratories and student clubs, and maintains organized academic and financial documentation. The role also supports special projects and events, assists with work-study student coordination, and responds to inquiries from faculty, staff, students, and campus partners.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with a wide range of constituents. The position requires sound judgment, discretion, tact, confidentiality, and effective problem-solving skills.
A bachelor's degree is required, and a minimum of five years of administrative support experience is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel, along with the ability to use standard office equipment.
