Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control in Shelby, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly, and help address security-related concerns while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, visitor authorization, delivery appointments, and contractor credentials in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, contractor, and vehicle entry records; issue and collect visitor credentials as directed by site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and other designated areas; report unusual conditions, damaged barriers, and policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
