Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Zone Assessment in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals at a government healthcare location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility interiors, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and adherence to site entry procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
