About the Role
Responsibilities
- Conduct road safety assessments, inspections, and audits at the feasibility, design, construction, and post-construction stage
- Identify high-risk locations, accident black spots, and safety deficiencies within existing and proposed road networks
Review highway and bridge designs to ensure compliance with road safety standards and safe-system principles
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, preferably with Master’s degree in traffic engineering or related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in assessing and designing road safety measures and conducting road safety audits and preparing safety enhancement plans, preferably for road projects funded by MDBs
Male or female
Good communication in English Language
Preferred Skills
Strong knowledge of road safety engineering principles and Safe System Approach
Familiarity with international road safety standards and guidelines
- Knowledge of traffic signs, road markings, guardrails, and roadside safety devices
