Creates employee communications content; participates in the planning and execution of employee communications programs within the organization.

What You Will Do:

• Tracking and analyzing metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communications.
• Develop and execute communication plans that support business priorities and organizational initiatives.
• Create and distribute employee communications through multiple channels including digital displays, emails, newsletters, presentations, and meetings.
• Partner with site leadership, HR, Operations, Safety, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging.
• Support employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and site events.
• Coordinate communication content, schedules, and approvals to maintain alignment with company standards.
• Gather employee feedback and identify opportunities to improve communication effectiveness.
• Assist with crisis, emergency, and change management communications as needed.
• Maintain communication boards, digital signage, and other site communication platforms.

What You Will Have:

• Education: Degree or equivalent experience desired
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Experience developing communication materials and presentations preferred.
• Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

• Effectiveness Measurement: Knowledge of effective measurement techniques and ability to measure the quality and quantity of work effort for the purpose of improvement.
• Establishing and Maintaining Trust: Knowledge of developing and maintaining trust; ability to develop trusting relationships and provide solicited, respected and valued perspectives to clients/peers that guide thinking, facilitate issue resolution and enhance client/peer capabilities.
• Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
• Communicating for Impact: Knowledge of the concepts, tools and techniques for effective listening and communicating; ability to apply these theories to receive, transmit and accurately interpret information and ideas to influence others in various situations.
• Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
• Copywriting and Editing: Knowledge of copywriting and editing; ability to write, review and edit texts and documents to promote marketing.
  Internal Communications: Knowledge of techniques and media for internal communications; ability to produce and distribute news, newsletters and other communications materials targeted at the employees.
• Multimedia Technologies: Knowledge of multimedia publishing technologies and procedures; ability to use installed audio, visual and animation software tools to produce multimedia publications.
• Work Schedule Flexibility: Ability to flex work schedule both early and late as necessary to support multiple shift operation.

 

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Experience with Adobe Premier Pro
• Ability to simplify complex information
• Flexibility & Strong Change Management skills

Additional Info:

• This position will be located in Lafayette, IN
• This role requires 5 days a week in office
• Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify

Summary Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
