Mercy Audiology is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Hearing Technician to join our growing team in O'Fallon, Missouri. This position plays a vital role in supporting audiology services and newborn hearing screening programs while creating an exceptional experience for patients and families.

Position Details:

What You'll Do

As a Hearing Technician, you will support both clinical and administrative functions within our Audiology department, including:

• Perform newborn hearing screenings utilizing OAE and ABR testing methods
• Obtain and document appropriate patient and family history information
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Assist with patient check-in, registration, scheduling, and front desk workflows
• Support hearing aid services, including non-billable hearing aid maintenance and repairs
• Collaborate with audiologists, nursery staff, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Follow all safety, infection prevention, confidentiality, and patient rights policies
• Adapt schedules and workflows to meet patient volume and operational needs
• Learn and implement new audiology technologies and equipment as they become available

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent college credit
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and accurately
• Customer-focused approach with a passion for helping patients and families
• Ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and the public

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field
• Previous patient care experience
• Previous hearing testing or audiology experience
• Experience working in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting
