About Fitness & Lifestyle Group
Fitness & Lifestyle Group (FLG) is Asia Pacific's largest group of corporately owned health and wellness clubs — 310+ locations, 600,000+ members, and five of the region's most recognised fitness brands: Fitness First Australia, Goodlife Health Clubs, Jetts Fitness, Zap Fitness and Barry's.
We're headquartered in Australia with regional offices across South East Asia, and we're on a mission to help our global community live stronger, happier lives.
The Opportunity:
At Fitness & Lifestyle Group, our clubs are where hundreds of thousands of members come to train, recharge and improve their wellbeing. Clean, safe, and well-maintained environments are essential to delivering that experience.
We are seeking an on-site Cleaning Services Manager to lead the operational management of our national cleaning program across Australia. In this role, you will oversee external cleaning partners who service our club network, ensuring consistent standards, safety and compliance while delivering a best-in-class environment for our members and teams. This operational role is based largely on-site whilst often travelling to various interstate sites.
Working closely with operational leaders across the business, you will drive supplier performance, manage commercial outcomes and continuously improve how cleaning services are delivered across the portfolio. This is a high-impact role that combines supplier performance, scope of delivery and commercial outcomes to ensure every club meets the standards our members expect.
Key duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Contract & Supplier Management
Own and manage relationships with national cleaning suppliers.
Act as the primary point of contact between FLG Operations and cleaning contractors.
Ensure suppliers deliver services in line with agreed scope, SLAs and KPIs.
Lead regular supplier performance reviews (weekly, monthly, and quarterly).
Manage contract variations, extensions and scope changes.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations including insurances, WHS and labour standards.
Operational Performance Management
Monitor cleaning performance across all locations nationally.
Support the development and maintenance of unified performance dashboards and reporting.
Investigate and resolve underperformance, service failures and escalations, attending site in person where the issue is material or recurring.
Conduct root cause analysis on recurring issues and implement corrective actions on the ground.
Work on site with Area Managers, Club Managers and suppliers to address localised service challenges.
Scope & Standards Governance
Maintain and continuously improve cleaning standards and specifications.
Ensure daily and periodic cleaning schedules are adhered to.
Validate that periodic deep cleans are completed on time and to required quality, visible to stakeholders.
Review scope adequacy versus allocated hours and recommend adjustments where required.
Conduct site audits (in person and virtual) to validate supplier performance
Financial & Commercial Oversight
Manage cleaning contracts within approved budgets.
Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and value optimisation.
Support pricing negotiations, variations and additional works.
Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting for cleaning services.
Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with key internal stakeholders including senior leadership, regional operations and finance.
Act as the escalation point for cleaning-related issues across the network.
Communicate effectively with suppliers to maintain productive, professional relationships.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve cleaning service delivery models.
Introduce innovation in cleaning processes, technology and reporting.
Benchmark supplier performance against industry best practice.
About you:
You are a commercially and operationally minded operator who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. You enjoy building strong supplier relationships while holding partners accountable to high standards of delivery. You enjoy regular travel to manage operations across multiple sites and happy to suggest improvements.
You bring a balance of contract management, operational oversight and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to solve problems and drive continuous improvement across a complex national portfolio.
