Overview
The Role
As the Associate Director, SEO, you’ll analyze search data to provide tremendous insights into the motivations of consumers, leading a team that’s on the cutting edge of search technology and search engine marketing strategies.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Experienced in working with social and digital content space.
- Experienced working or managing brand’s page on key social platforms
- Experienced in publishing content and delivering rank and traffic improvements through application of SEO techniques.
- Clearly and convincingly presenting search engine optimization capabilities to clients and best practices to internal teams
- Developing and presenting proposals and recommended tactics to clients and working with Managers and Supervisors to present all client deliverables
- Leading process improvement efforts
- Developing or approving all scopes of work that include search engine optimization
- Ensuring excellence and accuracy in all client deliverables
- Collaborating with Delivery Managers on project timelines and with Staffing on resource needs
- Developing and maintaining high-quality talent
Qualifications
Requirements
- Min. 7 to 9 years of digital media experience, 6+ years of search engine optimization, digital project management experience, computer science or a related field
- Proven leadership skills and prior experience managing a team
- Experience scoping projects, providing forecasts and driving ongoing process improvement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – and a knack for details
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and make smart, fast decisions
- Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Outstanding leadership and people management skills
- Stellar communication and presentation skills – you’re poised, articulate and convincing
- Working closely with account, creative and measurement teams to ensure media plans and creative/measurement work are strategically aligned, client needs are met and quality levels are maintained
- Managing and motivating junior staff, providing them ongoing feedback, performance evaluation, career direction and training
- Prioritizing teamwork, delegating responsibilities, and implementing a task management system that is universally accepted and applied
- Providing creative solutions to client challenges; resourceful and able to troubleshoot issues with limited direction
- Fostering relationship with internal teams (Media, S&A and other capabilities) and external teams while managing multiple client stakeholders
- Understanding big picture implications and how insights can be applied in other programs and channels
- Active knowledge sharing with capability and broader agency
