Summary
Our Client is seeking an experienced Estimator – Division 10 to join their Pre-Construction team in Palmetto, FL. If you have an eye for detail while maintaining the accuracy of your work, our client has a place for you!
About Our Client
Our client is a growing company performing construction services across the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states to New England. The company has nearly 65 years of experience in drywall, masonry, concrete/masonry restoration, structural strengthening and building envelope restoration, doors/frames/hardware (Div 8), and specialties (Div 10).
Primary Responsibilities
- Interpret plans and specifications to prepare written proposals for bids and proposals
- Possess knowledge of local material, labor, and equipment costs
- Maintain an understanding of all local, city, and state building codes in assigned locations
- Manage and train project engineers and assistant project estimators to ensure proper growth within the organization
- Continuously develop and improve knowledge of all product lines, including drywall, acoustical, doors/frames/hardware (Div 8), and specialties (Div 10)
Position Requirements
Education and Experience:
- B.S. degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, finance, or accounting is preferred
- Assistant Estimator with 2 years of experience or 5–7 years of overall experience
