The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical and operational oversight of program services, ensuring quality care is delivered in accordance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. This position oversees service delivery, supports team member development, facilitates clinical staffing and treatment planning, monitors program performance, coordinates community partnerships, and ensures clients receive appropriate, effective, and person-centered services. The Clinical Supervisor serves as a key leader in advancing quality outcomes, supporting staff success, and promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and provide clinical oversight of behavioral health services to ensure high-quality, person-centered care.

· Mentor, coach, and supervise clinical team members through regular supervision, performance feedback, and professional development planning.

· Facilitate clinical staffing meetings, diagnostic disposition meetings, and case consultations to support effective treatment planning and service delivery.

· Conduct assessments, intakes, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy services based on program and client needs.

· Coordinate care with community agencies, referral sources, healthcare providers, and family supports to ensure comprehensive service delivery.

· Monitor client progress, treatment effectiveness, transition planning activities, and overall quality outcomes.

· Review clinical documentation, progress notes, treatment plans, and client records to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

· Complete record reviews and quality assurance activities while addressing identified deficiencies and supporting corrective action plans.

· Oversee staff productivity, direct service expectations, and service utilization to ensure appropriate delivery of care.

· Manage staffing schedules, coverage plans, and time-off requests to maintain uninterrupted program operations and licensing compliance.

· Assist with program budgeting, fiscal planning, service delivery monitoring, and expenditure management.

· Respond to crisis situations, provide clinical guidance, and ensure incident reporting requirements are completed appropriately.

· Collaborate with leadership on quality management initiatives, performance improvement efforts, and strategic program objectives.

· Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and referral sources to enhance client access to services.

· Monitor facility environments, vehicles, and operational functions to support safety, cleanliness, and effective program operations.

· Participate in organizational initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:

· Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, or a closely related field with at least three (3) years of professional experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment and one (1) year of supervisory experience in substance use disorder treatment; OR

· Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, or a closely related field with at least four (4) years of professional experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment and two (2) years of supervisory experience in substance use disorder treatment; AND

· Qualified Addiction Professional certification through the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. or applicable State Board with four (4) years of professional experience in substance use disorder treatment and three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR

· Missouri-licensed Counselor, Psychologist, or Physician with at least one (1) year of professional experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment and one (1) year of supervisory experience in substance use disorder treatment.

· Qualified Mental Health Professional meeting one of the following criteria:

· Physician licensed under Missouri law to practice medicine or osteopathy with training in mental health.

· Psychiatrist licensed under applicable law.

· Psychologist licensed under Missouri law with specialized training in mental health services.

· Professional Counselor licensed under applicable state law with specialized training in mental health services.

· Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

· Master's or Doctorate degree in Counseling and Guidance, Behavioral Health Counseling, Vocational Counseling, Psychology, Pastoral Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field with completion of a practicum or one (1) year of supervised experience under a mental health professional.

Additional Qualifications:

· Successful completion of background screenings including criminal history, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint checks.

· Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current automobile insurance required.

· Obtain driver's license in state of residency.

· First Aid certification must be attained within three (3) months of employment and maintained thereafter.

· CPR certification must be attained within three (3) months of employment and maintained thereafter.

· Behavioral Management training must be completed within thirty (30) days of employment or during the first available class after hire.

· Achievement of thirty-six (36) hours of training requirements within a two-year period in accordance with applicable regulations.

· Annual maintenance of all licenses and certifications required to perform job duties.

· Thorough knowledge of clinical best practices related to mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

· Strong leadership, supervision, staff development, and training skills.

· Ability to evaluate programs, monitor outcomes, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to develop collaborative relationships with community partners, referral sources, clients, and team members.

Physical Requirements

· Perform sedentary work involving exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and negligible force frequently to move or handle objects.

· Sit for extended periods of time with occasional walking and standing as needed to perform job responsibilities.

· Use hands, fingers, and arms for repetitive activities such as typing, writing, and computer work.

· Maintain the ability to perform routine office and administrative functions throughout the workday.
