Overview
We are seeking a VP, Analytics to lead and grow our analytics capability. This role will set the vision for how data, measurement, and advanced analytics inform strategy, creative, media, customer experience, and business decision-making across the agency’s healthcare and wellness portfolio. The VP will serve as a senior client partner, translating complex findings into clear recommendations that improve marketing effectiveness and support clients’ business goals.
The VP will oversee the end-to-end analytics process, including measurement strategy, data architecture, implementation, reporting, insight generation, and executive-level storytelling. This leader will also develop analytics talent, establish scalable operating standards, strengthen collaboration across disciplines, and identify new opportunities to expand the value analytics brings to clients and the agency. The role will be based in New York, New York.

- Set the vision and strategic roadmap for the agency’s analytics capability, aligning measurement and insight priorities with client business objectives and agency growth goals.
- Serve as a senior analytics advisor to clients, presenting clear, compelling narratives that connect data to actionable marketing and business decisions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of analytics professionals, including analysts, data scientists, and analytics engineers, while planning for future capability and staffing needs.
- Oversee the complete delivery cycle for analytics engagements, including measurement planning, implementation, data collection, quality assurance, dashboard development, analysis, insight generation, and executive presentations.
- Establish scalable standards, methodologies, and governance for analytics deliverables, documentation, data quality, and measurement across accounts.
- Partner with senior leaders across Account, Strategy, Engagement Strategy, Experience Design, Creative, Technology, and Media to embed analytics into integrated client solutions.
- Build trusted relationships with media agencies, platform partners, data providers, and third-party vendors to ensure connected measurement and effective use of external data and technology.
- Guide the integration and interpretation of data from sources including web, media, Rx, payer, coupon/co-pay, sampling, social, CRM, and other customer engagement channels.
- Identify and shape new analytics offerings, advanced analyses, and consulting opportunities that address unmet client needs and expand agency revenue.
- Provide executive oversight of integrated dashboards and reporting solutions developed in platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
- Ensure appropriate use of analytical methods, including segmentation, predictive modeling, regression, experimentation, and other advanced techniques, based on the business question and available data.
- Maintain strong technical fluency and provide strategic direction on tools and practices involving SQL, Python, R, web analytics, tagging, data visualization, and marketing technology.
- Represent the analytics discipline in new business efforts, capability presentations, scopes of work, and senior client meetings.
- Monitor industry, privacy, technology, and measurement trends to evolve the agency’s analytics approach and help clients navigate a changing healthcare marketing landscape.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing analytics, data strategy, business intelligence, data science, or a related subject area, with significant experience leading client-facing analytics engagements.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, including demonstrated success building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing analytics teams.
- Strong healthcare, pharmaceutical, wellness, or regulated-industry experience preferred.
- Proven ability to advise senior clients, influence decision-makers, and translate complex analysis into concise, persuasive business recommendations.
- Deep experience developing measurement frameworks, reporting ecosystems, dashboards, and integrated analyses across multiple marketing channels and data sources.
- Strong understanding of digital analytics and implementation, including tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager.
- Experience with business intelligence and visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL and analytical programming languages such as Python or R, with the ability to guide technical teams and evaluate analytical approaches.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques such as regression, segmentation, predictive modeling, machine learning, experimental design, and attribution.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to make data meaningful to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated discernment, consultative thinking, and ability to identify and develop new client opportunities.
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity, balance multiple priorities, and maintain high standards across complex, fast-moving engagements.
- Professional work ethic with a strong commitment to accountability, integrity, collaboration, and inclusive team leadership.
