Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on simulators and associated systems.
- Learn and perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks on simulator systems.
- Use the Maintenance Management System to record and track maintenance activities.
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks on all simulators.
- Run Qualification Test Guide (QTG) procedures.
- Complete required training activities.
- Perform basic visual system tasks, including visual alignment.
- Assist with refurbishment activities and hardware modifications.
- Learn and comply with the CAE Compliance Management System.
- Provide customer service support and respond to customer needs in a timely manner.
- Perform logistics duties including parts receipt, repair, and testing/validation.
- Conduct housekeeping tasks to maintain simulator conditions.
- Complete administrative tasks as required.
- Support the technical services group as needed.
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations in an aviation training environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace/Aviation, or Computer Engineering, or at least 1 year of relevant experience in a technical field.
- English language proficiency.
- Ability to work a rotating 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights).
Preferred Qualifications
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic understanding of avionics, motion, and visual systems.
- Computer literacy, including PC architecture and/or networking.
- Understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
- Strong motivation and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and show initiative.
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to manage sensitive situations professionally.
