Description
The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 24-month contract at the Learning Sciences and Assessment Department.
Project Title: Curiosity, 21st Century Competencies, and Self-Directed Learning
Project Introduction: The project aims to understand how curiosity and 21st century competencies develop in self-directed, student-initiated learning experiences in MOE secondary schools. The project uses a variety of methods such as surveys, digital device use, and generative AI chatbots.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field
- Proficiency in quantitative research, such as survey data and analysis
- Preferably one year of research experience (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
- Experience working with MOE schools
- Experience using AI tools to support research activities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct literature review
- Liaise with schools and research partners
- Manage data collection, data cleaning, and data analysis
- Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations
- Support project administration, including meetings, documentation, and any other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator
