Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Manage sustainability initiatives and engineering projects, including but not limited to solar photovoltaic (PV) installations, M&E enhancement works, smart building technologies, and environmental sustainability programs.
- Coordinate with operations teams, business units, and stakeholders to ensure accurate collection, validation, and reporting of utility and sustainability data. Support GRESB submissions, sustainability disclosures, and periodic reporting of CapitaLand sustainability targets and performance indicators.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement innovative technologies and sustainability solutions to improve energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, and recycling performance across the portfolio.
- Conduct feasibility studies, pilot trials, technical assessments, and performance evaluations of emerging technologies, and oversee project execution from planning through implementation.
- Collaborate with corporate functions, operations teams, vendors, consultants, and external stakeholders to develop and drive sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze operational performance and sustainability metrics, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and recommend strategies to enhance environmental performance and resource efficiency.
- Prepare management reports, business cases, presentations, and recommendations for project approvals and stakeholder decision-making.
- Undertake any other duties and projects as assigned by manager.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in sustainability, engineering, facilities management, green building initiatives, or the built environment sector.
- Familiarity with green building certifications, sustainability reporting frameworks, energy management, and environmental regulations.
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Effective interpersonal, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with sustainability data analytics and reporting tools will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of GRESB, BCA Green Mark, ESG reporting, energy management, or carbon reduction initiatives would be an added advantage.
