Your Role at Baxter

As a Service Technician, you will support Baxter's mission of saving and sustaining lives by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, testing, calibration, and software updates on computer-based and electro-mechanical medical devices. This is where your technical skills help ensure critical healthcare equipment is restored to proper working conditions and returned to customers safely and efficiently. Working within the Product Service Depot, you will follow established quality and safety procedures while supporting the inspection, repair, processing, and shipment of medical devices.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and software updates on medical devices.
• Conduct functional, safety, and performance testing using diagnostic and measurement equipment.
• Utilize tools and test equipment such as digital multimeters, safety analyzers, patient simulators, power supplies, and torque wrenches.
• Document service findings, test results, maintenance activities, and repair actions within the designated systems of record.
• Follow Quality Management System requirements, standard work instructions, and established service procedures.
• Diagnose device malfunctions, determine root causes, and escalate issues requiring additional technical support.
• Disassemble, assemble, inspect, package, and prepare medical devices for shipment using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Support depot operations as needed, including receiving, disinfection, reprocessing, spare parts activities, and shipment preparation.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Experience using basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and assembly equipment.
• Basic knowledge of test and measurement equipment, including digital multimeters and power supplies.
• Computer proficiency for entering service data, maintaining records, and navigating multiple software applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and measurements.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and operate material handling equipment as required.
• Ability to work with cleaning and disinfecting solutions and handle returned medical devices in accordance with established procedures.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $44,800 - $61,600. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
