Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Controlled Entry in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. You will help maintain an orderly environment through routine patrols, visible presence, and timely reporting of security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records in accordance with site requirements.
• Control access to warehouse, office, trailer yard, and other restricted areas; report unauthorized access attempts and other security-related concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and documentation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the business, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
