Production Manager

Overview

Kemin Food Technologies is looking for a a Production Manager for Parma site. The person is responsible for leading manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant production of goods while consistently meeting customer demand and business objectives. Through effective leadership of production teams, coordination with cross-functional departments, and ongoing process optimization. He drives operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance.
• Improving OEE, throughput, yield, and overall manufacturing performance.
• Reducing waste, rework, and production losses.
• Ensuring on-time delivery and service reliability.
• Developing people and building a high-performing production organization.
• Supporting cost management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure employees are trained on equipment, SOP’s and other procedures.
• Ensures the Master Sanitation Schedule and GMP practices are adhered to by the department.
• Communicate with all departments and necessary business units regarding production needs.
• Ensures the product meets established production standards
• Coordination of production activities at two plants, located in Crema and Parma, respectively.
• Management and coordination of resources at the two production sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering, or a strong technical background.• Professional experience in the food and/or chemical-pharmaceutical industries.• Experience in production management within structured environments and in supervising and managing resources.• Good knowledge of English.• Excellent knowledge of equipment and how to use it, in accordance with production needs.• Ability to lead, train, and motivate staff, in accordance with the principles of servant leadership.• High degree of autonomy, a sense of responsibility, reliability, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), apply logical reasoning, solve problems, and correctly handle mixtures, measurements, and weighings.• Good mechanical skills and advanced problem-solving abilities.• Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.• Precision and attention to detail, with the ability to inspect raw materials and finished products.• Good mathematical skills and the ability to accurately manage data and documentation.• Advanced computer skills, including data entry and document management.

 

Job Offer Details

 

Contract: Permanent

Working hours: full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times.

Annual gross salary (RAL): 1 level CCNL Food Industry; Range RAL: 50,000-60,000 euro.Benefits: Meal vouchers (€10) or canteen; Longevity Program; Health insurance (FASA); Company discounts.

Work location: Parma (PR)
