Job Title: Pre-Op / Ambulatory / Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical / Ambulatory Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional perioperative nursing care for assigned surgical patients. Utilizing the core nursing process—assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation—you will manage patient care in pre-operative and ambulatory settings in accordance with clinical standards, state regulations, and safety protocols.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Pay: $31.62+ / hour (commensurate with education and clinical experience).
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000 relocation package available.
- On-Call Expectations: Rotating on-call requirements across perioperative units (weeknights, Fridays, and weekend shifts on a monthly rotation).

Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Operative & Ambulatory Care: Conduct pre-surgical assessments, review patient medical histories, prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgical procedures, and initiate clinical interventions.
- Patient & Family Education: Deliver clear pre-operative instructions, explain procedure expectations, and communicate with family members regarding patient status and care plans.
- Clinical Collaboration: Partner with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and perioperative care teams to maintain safety standards and efficient surgical scheduling.
- On-Call & Unit Coverage: Participate in departmental on-call rotations to support surgical, PACU, or ambulatory procedures as required by clinical volume.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma from an accredited school of nursing [Required]. (Bachelor of Science in Nursing - BSN is preferred).
- Experience: Hospital-based nursing experience within the past 5 years [Preferred].
- Licensure: Active State Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact RN equivalent [Required].
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross [Required/Preferred prior to start].
