Assistant Director of Residential Services

Schedule: Full time, 40 Hours per week 

Pay:  $63,000-$75,000

Location: ACHIEVE North, Cortland County 

The Assistant Director of Residential Services provides leadership and oversight for the daily operations of assigned residential programs, ensuring high-quality services for individuals with developmental disabilities. This position supervises residential management and support staff, oversees staffing and operational needs, promotes compliance with agency and OPWDD requirements, and partners with program leadership to maintain safe, effective, and person-centered services. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned residential programs, including staffing, scheduling, payroll, recruitment, hiring, and fiscal expenditures
• Provide direct leadership and supervision to Residence Managers and relief staff, while providing oversight and support to residential direct care employees across program sites
• Lead key employee-management activities, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, coaching, disciplinary action, and resolution of employee concerns
• Ensure residential programs operate in compliance with agency policies, OPWDD regulations, service plans, and applicable regulatory requirements, maintaining quality and continuity of services
• Partner with QIDPs and Residence Managers to ensure individual service plans are implemented appropriately and that residential services consistently support the needs of individuals served
• Support quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts, including developing, implementing, and monitoring plans of corrective action through successful completion
• Monitor critical operational and administrative requirements, including billing documentation, staff training compliance, competency evaluations, and residential program data to ensure accuracy and timely completion
• Participate in and provide leadership for the residential on-call system, responding to urgent operational needs and providing direct care support during emergency situations when necessary

Requirements

• Associate's degree required, Bachelor's preferred
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Valid NYS Driver's License with 12-month driving history
