Job Description
The FVP, Funds Due Diligence Analyst is responsible for conducting in-depth due diligence on investment funds, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in assessing and mitigating risks associated with fund investments for United Overseas Bank Ltd.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Perform comprehensive due diligence on new and existing investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds, and traditional funds.
* Analyze fund offering documents, financial statements, investment strategies, risk disclosures, and operational processes.
* Conduct interviews with fund managers, administrators, and other service providers to assess their capabilities and risk management frameworks.
* Prepare detailed due diligence reports summarizing findings, identifying key risks, and providing recommendations to investment committees.
* Monitor ongoing performance, compliance, and significant events of approved funds.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in fund due diligence.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including investment teams, legal, compliance, and risk management, to ensure alignment on fund selection and monitoring.
* Participate in the development and enhancement of due diligence methodologies and tools.
* Present due diligence findings and recommendations to senior management and relevant committees.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. CFA designation is highly preferred.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in fund due diligence, investment research, or a related role within the financial services industry, preferably in a banking or asset management environment.
* Strong understanding of various investment strategies, asset classes, and financial instruments.
* Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, identify key risks, and articulate findings clearly and concisely.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to fund investments (e.g., UCITS, AIFMD, MAS regulations).
* High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with due diligence platforms or investment research tools is a plus.
