Summary:
The ACC Student Technician supports the daily operations of the Anderson Computing Complex (ACC) and the University Library. This role helps ensure that computers, printers, and other technology resources in the ACC and satellite labs are functioning properly while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patrons. The Student Technician also assists faculty with the instructional use of classroom and laboratory technology.
Essential Functions:
Assist full-time technicians with updating, maintaining, and troubleshooting computers and printers in the ACC and satellite labs.
Monitor and inspect the condition and functionality of computer lab equipment.
Provide technical support and assistance to students, faculty, and staff.
Help patrons locate software, training resources, classrooms, and other technology-related services.
Provide technical support in the Mac Lab.
Maintain a professional, clean, and quiet environment conducive to learning and productivity.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time.
20 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$18.40 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic knowledge of computer and printer troubleshooting.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience using both Mac and Windows computers.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications and/or Final Cut Pro.
