Description
## What you’ll do:
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, stabilizing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes within the Resin Injection and CNC Machining departments. The role will focus on process capability, cycle time reduction, quality improvement, change management, and operational efficiency. The position will work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to ensure robust and sustainable manufacturing processes.
Process Stabilization & Improvement
Analyze and improve process capability, repeatability, and stability.
Investigate process variations and implement corrective actions.
Develop standardized manufacturing methods and best practices.
Support daily production issues through structured root cause analysis.
Cycle Time & Productivity Improvement
Identify and execute cycle time reduction opportunities.
Improve machine utilization, OEE, and throughput.
Optimize cutting parameters, tooling, machining strategies, and molding parameters.
Lead lean manufacturing and waste reduction initiatives.
Change Management
Lead and coordinate process changes following established change management procedures.
Assess process risks and ensure proper validation before implementation.
Update process documentation, routings, BOMs, and work instructions as required.
Support introduction of new products, equipment, and process technologies.
Quality Improvement
Drive process quality improvements and defect reduction initiatives.
Perform root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone.
Support PFMEA, Control Plans, and process validation activities.
Partner with Quality teams to reduce scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
Manufacturing Support
Define process parameters and establish process windows.
Support equipment qualification and process validation activities.Collaborate with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
Provide technical guidance and training to operators and production personnel.
## Qualifications:
- Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgy & Materials Engineering. Preffered; Master's Degree (MBA or Engineering Management)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- Min 5 years of manufacturing experience
## Skills:
- Experience in injection molding and/or CNC machining environments.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving tools.
- Understanding of quality systems, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and process validation.
- Experience in copper machining and injection molding processes is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Mazak CNC machines is preferred.
