About the Role

A Principal IT Security Project Manager leads complex, enterprise-wide cybersecurity initiatives and manages strategic security programs from planning to completion. As a SaaS provider, Bullhorn’s security posture is critical to our customers' continued success. This role will be part of the Information Security vertical, reporting directly to the CISO.

A Typical Day Will Include...

  • Program Leadership: Direct large-scale cross-functional security projects, such as large scale software hardening, identity management rollouts, cloud security implementations, or zero-trust implementations.

  • Risk Management: Identify project risks, track vulnerabilities, and build mitigation plans to protect business assets.

  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate project progress, budgets, and security metrics clearly to executive leadership and technical teams. Ability to present progress in both concise headlines and detailed technical detail. 

  • Resource Allocation: Manage solution planning calls, team workloads, and identifying budget issues/needs.

  • Compliance Alignment: Ensure all project milestones meet regulatory standards where applicable (SOC 2, ISO 27001)

This Role Is a Fit for You If...

  • Experience: You have 8+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 5 years focused specifically on cybersecurity or information security.

  • Education: You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business, or a related field.

  • Certifications: You have a PMP (Project Management Professional) and a security credential like CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.

  • Technical Knowledge: You have a deep understanding of network security, endpoint protection, threat intelligence, and security frameworks.

  • Leadership: You have a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Communication: You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills for translating technical security risks into business language.

  • Work Style: You are comfortable being self motivated and working independently. Ability to work seamlessly with executives and engineers as needed.

The annual base salary range for this position is $144,000 - $170,000. In addition, this role is eligible for an annual target bonus & a comprehensive benefits package.
