JOB DESCRIPTION
Griffon Aerospace, a leader in the Unmanned Aircraft System industry, is seeking a talented GFE Technician. This position supports a dynamic U.S. Army program with operations at multiple CONUS and OCONUS sites. The GFE Technician directly supports the GFE Managers to ensure all Inventories, Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) are accomplished of GSE equipment and assist the GFE Manager with ordering and maintaining sufficient stocks of service kits and common repair parts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report to the GFE Manager and assist in daily operations to direct, coordinate and monitor GFE/Material Handling Equipment (MHE), support Operational needs, ensure performance and compliance with safety, and adherence to timeline requirements.
- Gains and maintains licenses for all classes of ground equipment assigned to Griffon Operations.
- Execute daily maintenance activity for ADA-T managed ground support equipment to include generators, compressors, forklifts, container handlers, pressure washers, other trailers, and all other equipment that is assigned and maintained by Griffon Aerospace Flight Operations.
- Responsible for properly storing, usage and accounting for, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste generated in the performance of maintenance and service requirements.
- Acts as point of contact in the absence of the GFE Manager.
- Assist with the execution of dispatching of ground support equipment daily for Griffon Operations in accordance with Army Regulations (ARs), Department of Defense (DoD) Regulations and utilization of WASP inventory system.
- Assist with load test requirements for generators.
- Advise the GFE Manager of the status of GFE/MHE availability.
- Assist the GFE Manager with the development and management of equipment maintenance documentation in accordance with Performance Work Statement requirements.
- Achieves additional certifications in support of Griffon Operations
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- High School and 3-5 years of experience.
- Ability to work on machinery, handle tools, and use technical manuals for repairs. Forklift operator qualification/ability to become qualified.
- Supports commitment to safety and other selected company standards and certifications.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs, work in hot and cold environments, with physical agility to work on feet with protective gear. Some bending, stooping and reaching above shoulder level. No limitations with hearing or speaking clearly.
- Ability to work with others in a supporting role and attention to detail to complete tasks.
- MS Office computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook
- Valid state driver's license and ability to pass DOT Physical, preferred.
- Travel 5%.
