Hunter Douglas is seeking a senior Oracle HCM Cloud (Fusion) functional expert to serve as the Oracle HCM Solution Architect within our IT team in a global role supporting and partnering with teams across North America, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC. This role is the system-side authority for Oracle HCM, with strong functional ownership of the platform and how it supports end-to-end HR processes across Core HCM, Benefits, Absence, Time & Labor, and Onboarding, including how Oracle HCM integrates with ADP and other payroll and HR systems. This position can sit in either Mumbai or Bangalore India, but must be able to work US EST, or CST hours.

The role partners closely with:

· The HR Business Partner (who owns business relationship and roadmaps),

· An offshore application support team (day-to-day ticket execution), and a US-based counterpart (global alignment and shared ownership across regions).

The role will also help identify practical opportunities to use AI, agents, chatbots, and automation tools to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, surface issues earlier, and strengthen support operations

What you'll do

Global Oracle HCM Solution Architecture

  • Serve as the global Oracle HCM Solution Architect within IT, supporting and partnering with teams across North America, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC.
  • Work in close partnership with HR, IT, and support teams across North America, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC to align configuration standards, process patterns, release readiness, and prioritization principles across regions.
  • Participate in global governance routines, contributing regional impact assessments, risk identification, solution recommendations, and architecture guidance across all supported regions.

Oracle HCM Functional Solution Ownership

  • ·Act as the functional authority and owner for Oracle HCM, leading design and configuration decisions across Core HCM, Absence, Time & Labor, Onboarding, and Benefits, with strong understanding of how the platform integrates with ADP and other payroll and HR systems.
  •  Maintain end-to-end Oracle HCM configuration and design standards, documentation, and guardrails to ensure scalable, supportable solutions across the platform and its key integrations.
  • ·Translate business process improvement opportunities into system enhancements (without owning the business relationship/roadmap).

Functional Integration Ownership (Critical)

  • Own functional requirements for integrations involving Oracle HCM and ADP, payroll, and other HR systems across global cross-region processes; coordinate with regional stakeholders to maintain shared interfaces, data standards, and process integrity.
  • Produce functional specifications for technical teams, including business rules, data mapping/definitions, triggers/frequency, error handling expectations, reconciliation steps, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support end-to-end testing and validation of integrations and partner with technical teams to troubleshoot production issues.

AI Enablement, Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain awareness of emerging AI capabilities relevant to Oracle HCM, enterprise applications, workflow automation, support operations, and service delivery.
  • Evaluate practical use cases for tools such as Claude, Codex, Microsoft Teams, Jira, agents, chatbots, and other enterprise AI solutions to improve productivity, automate repetitive work, identify issues earlier, and improve user support.
  • Partner with IT, HR, and support teams to pilot AI-assisted processes, document expected outcomes, define appropriate guardrails, and ensure responsible use of company data.
  • Use AI-enabled analysis where appropriate to identify recurring issues, support trends, data quality concerns, integration failures, and opportunities for process simplification.

Production Support, Change Control, Testing & Release Management

  • Provide functional direction to the offshore application support team:
  • Triage and prioritize incidents/requests/enhancements
  • Clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Validate delivered outcomes against standards and business intent
  • Drive root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement permanent fixes to reduce support volume.
  • Ensure adherence to change control and deployment practices: impact assessment, approvals, documentation, and readiness.
  • Coordinate functional testing (SIT/UAT support, regression scope) and ensure evidence and signoffs are completed where required.
  • Lead global functional input to quarterly Oracle update impact reviews; coordinate with regional stakeholders and offshore support to execute regression testing and safe deployments.

Who you are

  • 7+ years HRIS experience with deep Oracle HCM Cloud (Fusion) functional expertise in a post-go-live environment.
  • Strong expertise in Core HCM plus Absence and Time & Labor, Onboarding, Benefits and its integration touchpoints preferred.

  • Experience integrating with third party payroll systems, such as ADP Celergo, ADP GlobalView and others

  • Proven ability to coordinate and quality-control work executed by an offshore application support team.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled productivity, automation, and collaboration tools such as Claude, Codex, Microsoft Teams, Jira, agents, chatbots, Microsoft Copilot, or similar enterprise AI platforms; ability to identify practical use cases for improving efficiency, automation, issue detection, and support quality.
