Description
Construction Project Manager – Prefabricated/Modular Construction
Location: Minden, NV
Salary: $80,000–$90,000 annually
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site
Industry: Construction | Modular Construction | Prefabricated Buildings | Design-Build
About the Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of an established construction and manufacturing company seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join its team in Minden, Nevada.
This is not an entry-level project coordination position. Our client is looking for a construction professional who understands how projects come together, can independently manage scope, budget, schedule, change orders, documentation, and customer expectations, and is comfortable making day-to-day project decisions without significant hand-holding.
The Project Manager will oversee multiple prefabricated and modular building projects from contract handoff through design, procurement, production, delivery, installation, and closeout.
This position is based at the company's Minden production facility, allowing the Project Manager to work closely with the teams physically constructing the buildings while managing the overall project from an office-based environment.
If you are an experienced Construction Project Manager who enjoys solving problems, managing a high-volume workload, and taking ownership of your projects, this could be an excellent opportunity.
What You'll Do
As Construction Project Manager, you will serve as the primary day-to-day owner of assigned projects and coordinate across customers, contractors, designers, production teams, vendors, and other internal departments.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage construction projects from internal contract handoff through final closeout
- Review contracts, plans, specifications, cost worksheets, scopes, and customer commitments for accuracy
- Confirm project scope and identify potential gaps or discrepancies before work is released
- Establish and maintain project schedules, milestones, priorities, and critical deadlines
- Manage multiple active projects simultaneously, with workload varying based on project size and complexity
- Coordinate design, purchasing, production, delivery, and installation activities
- Manage submittals, RFIs, plan redlines, approvals, purchase orders, and project documentation
- Identify long-lead items, project risks, site requirements, and customer responsibilities early
- Monitor project budget, costs, scope, schedule, and quality throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare, evaluate, communicate, and track change orders
- Make sound day-to-day project decisions and recommend solutions when issues arise
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding schedules, decisions, approvals, changes, and project status
- Coordinate closely with construction, manufacturing, design, procurement, vendors, contractors, and other project stakeholders
- Confirm site readiness and coordinate building delivery and installation requirements
- Support final walkthroughs, punch lists, outstanding-item resolution, and project closeout
- Maintain complete and accurate project records and documentation
- Identify opportunities to reduce errors, delays, rework, and recurring project issues
What We're Looking For
The right candidate has a construction-heavy background and understands more than project administration. You should be able to look at an issue involving scope, schedule, budget, drawings, procurement, or construction and determine the appropriate next step.
Required / Strongly Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of construction Project Management experience
- Demonstrated responsibility for project scope, budget/costs, schedules, change orders, and customer or contractor coordination
- Working knowledge of construction plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, purchase orders, and change orders
- Experience independently managing projects and making critical day-to-day decisions
- Ability to identify project risks and bring forward both the problem and a recommended solution
- Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project sequencing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong prioritization and time-management skills
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume project environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
Experience That Could Be a Great Fit
Candidates may come from backgrounds including:
- Commercial construction
- Design-build construction
- Modular or prefabricated construction
- Public works construction
- Manufacturing-related construction
- Specialty construction
- General contracting
An associate or bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field is preferred but not required when equivalent experience is demonstrated.
PMP, CAPM, CMIT, or similar certifications are a plus but are not required.
Technology
Experience with the following is helpful:
- Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams
- Salesforce CRM
- Mission Control or similar project management platforms
- Adobe Acrobat
- SharePoint
- Electronic document-control and shared-drive systems
Experience with the company's specific systems is not required; the ability to learn and consistently use project management and documentation tools is more important.
Work Environment & Travel
This is an on-site position based in Minden, NV and is primarily office-based.
Unlike a traditional construction PM position where you may spend most of your week driving between jobsites, the company's production and construction operations are located at the Minden facility. You'll be able to see projects being built and collaborate directly with the teams responsible for producing them.
Occasional travel may be required for building installations, jobsites, factories, vendors, or customer locations.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $80,000–$90,000 annually
Our client also offers a strong full-time benefits package that contributes significantly to total compensation, including:
- Multiple medical insurance plan options
- Dental insurance
- Vision insurance
- Employer-paid life insurance
- 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
- Paid time off beginning to accrue from the start of employment
- 10 standard paid holidays
- Additional company-paid holidays offered in 2026
- Employee recognition and anniversary program
What Success Looks Like
This role is a particularly strong fit for someone who:
- Takes ownership instead of waiting for someone else to solve the problem
- Can confidently manage scope, budget, schedule, and change
- Recognizes project risk before it becomes a crisis
- Is comfortable balancing a substantial portfolio of active projects
- Communicates clearly with both customers and internal teams
- Understands construction well enough to ask the right questions and make sound decisions
- Can work autonomously while knowing when an issue truly needs to be escalated
- Enjoys being part of a collaborative team while remaining accountable for their own projects
The organization expects there to be a learning curve as you become familiar with its specialized products and processes. They are not looking for someone who already knows their exact business—they are looking for an experienced construction professional who brings the project management judgment, ownership, confidence, and construction foundation needed to learn it successfully.
Ready to Learn More?
If you are an experienced Construction Project Manager looking for a stable, long-term opportunity where you can take genuine ownership of your projects while working closely with the team actually building them, we encourage you to apply.
We are conducting the initial recruiting and interview process on behalf of our client. Qualified candidates will be contacted to discuss the opportunity, their construction project management background, and next steps in the interview process.
