Job Overview
Under the general direction of the Assistant Vice President of Marketing, leads the development and execution of strategic marketing and advertising campaigns for the Airport’s earned, owned, and paid channels to expand and improve the DFW Airport Brand among customers and stakeholders and achieve the goals and key results, according to the strategic plan. Collaborates with other department leaders to refine and enhance marketing and communications tactics that strengthen DFW Airport’s reputation within the industry, the surrounding communities, and around the world. Leads and develops direct reports and others in the department to enhance marketing and communications tactics.
What you'll be doing:
Directs and implements marketing strategies that support the Airport’s revenue-generating products and services, including Parking, Concessions, and others.
Leads project management for all marketing initiatives with accountability over key metrics, timelines, and budget.
Conceives and develops strategic marketing plans and programs, outlining goals, key audiences, stakeholders, objectives, recommended channels, expected results, metrics for success, and timelines.
Owns relationship with external agencies marketing strategy team. P&L responsibility over Marketing budget including digital and traditional media, creative development, and production.
Provides DFW Airport brand leadership to continuously improve DFW Brand positioning in the market in the areas of brand reputation, customer experience, airline relations, concessions, and parking products.
Collaborates with other department leaders to develop and implement initiatives that reduce friction across all touchpoints of the customer journey, from conceptualization to research and implementation.
Develops direct reports and others in the department to understand and apply project management and marketing processes including creative briefs, meeting recaps, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
What you need:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
Five (5) years of experience in marketing or brand management (agency or client-side).
Three (3) years of team management experience
Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Deep understanding of marketing, marketing strategy, and communications including the analyses of data and audience research
Strong management and project management skills.
Expertise in brand strategy including brand positioning and brand reputation management.
Ability to plan, manage and develop strategic marketing plans and programs from conception to execution.
Deep understanding of digital channels and strategies, e.g., SEM, social media, display, remarketing.
Demonstrated track record of conducting successful marketing programs that employ creativity and use of various platforms, channels, and media.
Ability to build and maintain rapport and diplomatically interface with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work well under pressure and with shifting priorities.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in cross-functional teams.
Ability to conceptualize creative marketing assets that can be used across multiple channels.
Superior business writing, editing, and presentation skills.
Must be proactive, resourceful, and independent with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Special Requirements:
Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et al., and DFW Airport’s Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
Desirable:
Knowledge of Spanish or other foreign language(s)
Airline, airport, or aviation experience preferred.
Previous experience in an integrated marketing/communications department.
Efforts:
Works in an office environment.
Uses keyboard devices and a computer monitor.
Exchanges information by telephone, in writing and in person.
Makes speeches and formal presentations.
Drives to locations on and off Airport property.
May be required to work some weekends and after normal working hours.
May be required to lift small boxes and assemble seasonal displays.
