- Perform preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Complete oil changes, lubrication, fluid checks, and filter replacements
- Inspect brakes, tires, lights, suspension, and other vehicle components
- Identify mechanical issues before they become major repairs
- Perform minor mechanical repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and inspection reports
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Work closely with operations to maximize fleet uptime
Requirements
- Previous experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic preferred
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures for Class A tractors and trailers
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50–75 lbs.
- Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred but not required)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet company background requirements
