Temporary Financial Aid Member

Northeastern Junior College is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Financial Aid Office as a Financial Aid Team Member. This position plays an integral role in supporting students, faculty, and staff by providing assistance and communicating information related to financial aid.

This position provides general administrative and customer-service support and does not make financial aid determinations, interpret regulations, conduct research, or provide professional financial aid counseling. Questions requiring professional judgment or review will be referred to appropriate Financial Aid staff.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:

• Provide assistance and problem-solving for students and staff
• Identify the general nature of student inquiries and direct students to the appropriate staff member
• Provide daily support to students through walk-in and telephone assistance
• Document relevant information for Director and Financial Aid Assistant
• Follow-up with students as directed
• Other duties as assigned in support of the Financial Aid Office

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
• Proficient use of computers and applications
• Ability to listen effectively, identify student needs, and refer questions/needs to the appropriate Financial Aid staff member.

Position Details:

• Position Type: Temporary
• Appointment Length: 14 weeks
• Hours: Flexible Schedule of 24-40 hours per week
• Benefits: This position is not benefits eligible
• Compensation: $20 an hour
• Anticipated Start Date: October 19, 2026
