Description
The City of Chandler Building and Facilities Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as an Energy Management Controls Senior Technician. The position is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler.

The City of Chandler Building and Facilities Division consists of 20 positions, including technicians, support staff, and management. We support 70 multi-use buildings totaling more than one million square feet and extending over 65 square miles. Who we are looking for
Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are seeking someone who can maintain, program and diagnose automated building heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems to ensure air quality, building comfort and building efficiency.

Minimum qualifications
• A High School Diploma or GED; and
• 5 years of experience in automated controls of building automation systems, including at least 2 years of experience in Network Integration Software programming; and
• An EPA & Arizona State Refrigerant Certification upon hire or promotion; and
• A Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Certification within 1 year of hire or promotion; and
• A valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Desired qualifications
• Advanced proficiency in low-voltage wiring, electrical schematics, and specialized building management software platforms.
• Strong project management skills, independent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to coordinate with contractors and building occupants.
This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.
