Job Description Summary:
The Compounder is responsible for manufacturing cosmetic products by accurately weighing, blending, and processing cosmetic raw materials using mixing equipment such as homogenizers and agitators. This position follows batch manufacturing instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and GMP requirements to ensure product quality, safety, and production efficiency.Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cosmetic manufacturing equipment including Homogenizers, Agitators, and Mixing Vessels.
- Weigh, charge, blend, and process cosmetic raw materials according to approved batch manufacturing records.
- Monitor mixing parameters such as temperature, speed, vacuum, and processing time.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, quality, and hygiene requirements.
- Perform equipment setup, cleaning, and basic maintenance activities.
- Record production data accurately and maintain manufacturing documentation.
- Collaborate with Quality, R&D, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Identify and report process deviations, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating cosmetic manufacturing mixers, including homogenizers and agitators.
- Familiarity with handling and processing cosmetic raw materials.
- Ability to follow batch instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and understand basic English manufacturing documents and instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work experience with a cosmetic ODM/OEM manufacturer.
- Experience manufacturing skincare, personal care, or cosmetic products.
- Knowledge of GMP and cosmetic industry regulations.
- Forklift certification or related manufacturing certifications (preferred but not required).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in operating cosmetic compounding and mixing equipment.
- Understanding of cosmetic raw material characteristics and handling requirements.
- Ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations for batch production.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Dependable, responsible, and committed to maintaining quality and safety standards.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position in a cosmetic manufacturing facility.
- Standing for extended periods and lifting materials as required.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Exposure to manufacturing environments involving raw materials, fragrances, and processing equipment.
Preferred Candidate Profile
A hardworking and dependable individual with hands-on experience operating homogenizers and agitators for cosmetic manufacturing. Candidates with prior experience at a cosmetic ODM/OEM company and familiarity with a wide range of cosmetic raw materials will be highly preferred.
