About the role
Team Global Express has an available PM Operations Supervisor position within our Express Parcels team based in Redcliffe, WA. This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 1:30pm to 9:30pm.
Reporting to the PM Depot Manager, you will take a hands-on approach to leading the day-to-day PM operations, coordinating the team and resources to ensure the shift runs safely and efficiently.
You will lead and support the team while maintaining a strong focus on safety, service, productivity and meeting customer expectations.
What you’ll do
Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the PM shift
Coordinate staffing, labour and equipment requirements
Lead, coach and support employees across the operation
Manage productivity, service levels and operational costs
Monitor operational KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with procedures
Investigate service failures and lost or damaged freight and follow through on corrective actions
Coordinate uplift operations, including linehaul and aircraft loading
Support the operation of automated sortation equipment
Ensure compliance with safety, aviation, security and regulatory requirements
Work closely with the team to ensure customer service expectations are met.
What you’ll bring
Previous supervisory or leadership experience within transport, logistics, warehousing or a similar operational environment
Experience leading, coaching and motivating operational teams
Strong communication and people management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment
Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Understanding of safety and transport compliance requirements
Experience managing KPIs, productivity and operational performance
Strong planning, organisation and time management skills
Ability to coordinate labour and equipment based on operational requirements
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Air freight experience will be highly regarded
Experience working with automated sortation systems will be advantageous.
Licences and qualifications
Current Driver’s Licence
Forklift Licence
Dangerous Goods, Airside Safety, RACA, HSE and Risk Reporting experience or qualifications will be highly regarded.
