Maintenance Mechanic Off Campus, full time, days

Under limited supervision, performs general maintenance functions at the off-site properties that fall under the umbrella of the hospital. Areas of focus include interior and exterior physical structure, grounds, and systems. Performs maintenance in areas of mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting, refrigeration, and plumbing; and responds to emergency situations as necessary.

Systems

• Operates and maintains, HVAC systems, electrical systems, energy management energy conservation systems, vacuum pumps,refrigeration equipment, medical equipment as needed.
• Demonstrates general understanding of systems in a commercial/ medical office setting.
• Administers preventative maintenance system for all equipment that requires a routine PM on the off -site properties both owned and leased by the hospital.
• Continuously looks for potential cost saving opportunities on hospital "systems."

Projects and Problem Solving

• Accepts and thoroughly follows through with all new projects and renovations, and demonstrates skill at problem solving and working with all individuals involved in project completion.
• Works with various outside vendors on an as needed basis to ensure work is being completed as intended.
• Supports as needed staff moves including moving furniture and configuring workstations and various items.

Documentation

• Completes all departmental and organizational documentation (including, but not limited to occurrence reports, education logs, timesheets, work orders, PM software and requisitions) in a timely objective and accurate manner, including all pertinent information.
