Description
As a Principal System Architect – Mobile Wallet, you will define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and execution of NFC-based mobile wallet solutions for contactless payments, transit, access control and emerging wallet services. You will act as the technical authority across the NFC ecosystem, translating customer and market requirements into secure, scalable, and interoperable solutions while leading global cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Support design-in of NFC chips and systems into customer products covering hardware, RF, firmware, middleware, and application aspects.
Drive development of solutions for contactless mobile payment, public transport, access control, and digital credential applications.
Define customer-specific architectures based on existing NFC chipsets and provide requirements for future products.
Ensure compliance with NFC Forum, EMVCo, GlobalPlatform, and relevant ISO/IEC standards.
Drive technical engagements with strategic customers and ecosystem partners.
Lead and ramp-up interdisciplinary teams across HW, SW, RF disciplines.
Ensure solution quality, security, interoperability, and technical readiness for deployment.
Required Qualifications
Deep understanding of NFC, contactless payment, public transport, and digital access ecosystems.
Strong background in general hardware and software architectures.
Experience with mobile phone and wearable architectures.
Solid understanding of NFC RF principles and 13.56 MHz communication systems.
Experience with Secure Elements and secure transaction architectures.
Good working knowledge of ISO/IEC 14443 A/B, ISO/IEC 18092, ISO/IEC 15693, NFC Forum, EMVCo and GlobalPlatform standards.
Experience supporting customer design-in and deployment of NFC solutions.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Structured working style with strong reporting, documentation and problem solving capabilities.
Fluent English, written and verbal
