Description
The Allegro team is united by a clear purpose—advancing technologies that make the world safer, more efficient, and more sustainable. With over 30 years of experience in semiconductor innovation, we bring that purpose to life across every part of the business—from breakthrough product development and customer success to how we show up for each other and the communities we serve.
The Opportunity
At Allegro MicroSystems, we believe in "Innovation with Purpose." Achieving our global vision of a safer, more sustainable, and autonomous future requires highly optimized, world-class manufacturing processes. As a Lean Manufacturing Engineer, you will be a pivotal agent of change on our operations team. You will have the unique opportunity to challenge the status quo, systematically eliminate waste, and design state-of-the-art workflows that directly enhance productivity and quality. In this role, your passion for continuous improvement will empower our manufacturing teams and drive measurable value across our global operations.
What You Will Do
- Implement & Sustain Lean Concepts: Initiate, design, and deploy Lean manufacturing methodologies. You will lead value stream mapping (VSM) exercises to identify business improvement areas and establish robust measurement systems that support our Lean philosophy.
- Drive Cost & Process Optimization: Execute Lean techniques to identify and track manufacturing cost reductions. You will optimize workflows and cell designs to maximize shop throughput, manage projects to completion, and develop implementation plans to achieve the desired "Future State."
- Mentor & Train Teams: Act as a mentor to project teams and serve as a bridge between active teams and senior management. In partnership with the Lean Champion, you will train, coach, and develop employees at all levels on Lean concepts.
- Project Governance: Regularly track project milestones, progress, and financial savings. You will conduct and participate in meetings to assess the thoroughness and execution of Lean content, supporting the Lean Section Manager in compiling and completing action items.
- Budget & Resource Management: Plan and manage expense budget objectives and capital equipment items to align with departmental goals.
What You Will Bring
- Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Lean Six Sigma Expertise: Solid hands-on experience executing Lean manufacturing techniques, process mapping, and cell design in a manufacturing setup (semiconductor experience is a plus).
- Analytical & Systematic Thinking: Proven ability to design measurement systems, identify systematic waste, and build practical project plans to transition processes from current to future states.
- Exceptional Communication & Mentorship: Strong presentation, coaching, and facilitation skills, with a track record of successfully communicating Lean philosophies and mentoring cross-functional project teams.
- Financial & Project Rigor: Experience tracking project savings, managing timelines, and aligning activities with expense and capital budgets.
