Principal Marketing & Product Marketing Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative professional to join our Marketing Operations Team as a Principal Marketing & Product Marketing Analyst. In this strategic and data-driven role, you will support our Revenue Marketing (including Field Marketing), Integrated Marketing, and Product Marketing organizations, helping drive actionable insights, optimize campaign and product performance, and align go-to-market strategies with market dynamics and buyer behavior. This position also includes leveraging external data sources to provide analysis on key topics such as competitive positioning, market trends, and category dynamics, which are critical insights for a technology company. Additionally, this role will help build AI-powered tooling and automation to scale and streamline the many analytics and reporting needs across the marketing organization. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical expertise, deep understanding of the full marketing function, and the ability to translate nuanced data challenges into impactful business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Analytics and Insight Generation:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reports and dashboards to monitor performance across Revenue Marketing, Integrated Marketing, and Product Marketing at monthly, quarterly, and annual intervals.
  • Analyze campaign performance, funnel trends, field marketing contribution, product adoption data, and marketing metrics to deliver actionable insights tailored to business objectives.
  • Incorporate external factors such as competitive landscapes and market trends into reporting to guide strategic decision-making.

Revenue & Field Marketing Analytics:

  • Partner with Revenue Marketing and Field Marketing teams and leaders to measure pipeline contribution, event and regional program ROI, and the impact of field-led initiatives on revenue.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform budget allocation, program planning, and target-setting across field marketing motions.
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in demand generation and field programs, providing innovative, data-backed solutions to address challenges.

Integrated Marketing and GTM Tracking:

  • Collaborate with Integrated Marketing teams to measure the performance of strategic campaigns and end-to-end go-to-market (GTM) motions.
  • Design and maintain GTM tracking frameworks that connect integrated campaign activity to funnel progression, pipeline influence, and revenue outcomes.
  • Deliver multi-touch attribution and cross-channel analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of integrated campaign strategies.

Product Marketing Analytics:

  • Partner with Product Marketing teams to measure the impact of product content, messaging, positioning, and full product launch lifecycles.
  • Design reporting methodologies that connect product marketing initiatives and launch ownership to measurable business outcomes such as adoption, pipeline influence, and retention.
  • Deliver segmentation, persona, competitive, and win/loss analyses to inform product marketing strategy and content development.

AI Tooling and Automation:

  • Design, build, and maintain AI-powered tools and automation to streamline recurring marketing analytics requests, reporting workflows, and cross-team data asks.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation across Revenue Marketing, Integrated Marketing, and Product Marketing to improve speed, scale, and accuracy of insights.
  • Develop and iterate on AI-driven solutions (e.g., automated reporting, content and campaign analysis, predictive models) that reduce manual effort and free teams to focus on strategic work.
  • Serve as a hands-on builder and thought leader in bringing AI capabilities into the marketing analytics function.

Data Integrity and Governance:

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data across marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, product analytics tools, and reporting platforms.
  • Develop methodologies for clean, efficient reporting that adhere to data standards, attribution models, and processes.

Strategic Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment:

  • Partner with Revenue Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Product Marketing, product management, sales, and finance teams to align on strategic priorities and performance goals.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform campaign planning, GTM strategy, product launch execution, forecasting accuracy, demand generation, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Serve as a thought leader in shaping marketing and product marketing strategies and metrics that align with the company's broader global priorities.

Additional Duties:

  • Maintain flexibility and adaptability to perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to and uphold the company's Business Code of Ethics, ensuring accountability and prompt reporting of potential violations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven expertise in advanced analytics, including building reports and dashboards, working with large datasets, and uncovering actionable insights across revenue, integrated, and product marketing functions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau, including Tableau Premium features (e.g., advanced dashboarding, data modeling, and enterprise-scale visualization capabilities), with a minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tooling and automation, including the ability to build, deploy, and maintain AI-powered solutions to automate marketing analytics, reporting, and recurring cross-functional requests.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, automation platforms, and scripting or low-code tools used to operationalize AI-driven workflows.
  • Deep knowledge of marketing processes, including funnel analysis, multi-touch attribution, campaign and GTM measurement, field marketing ROI, product launch metrics, and market segmentation.
  • Familiarity with marketing measurement frameworks, attribution modeling, and product analytics methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce executive-ready recommendations and insights, including integrating external competitive, market, and buyer-behavior data into analyses.
  • Strong technical skills in Excel, with experience using formulas, pivot tables, and advanced reporting features.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Eloqua), CRM platforms like Salesforce, and product analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of demand generation, pipeline modeling, competitive intelligence, GTM strategy, and Enterprise marketing motions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex findings clearly.
  • Organized with a proven ability to work under deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with leveraging external data sources and tools to analyze market trends and competitive dynamics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a data-driven marketing operations, product marketing, analytics, or business analysis role.
  • Background supporting Revenue Marketing, Integrated Marketing, or Product Marketing teams, or operating in a technology-driven environment, is highly desirable.
  • Experience with marketing measurement frameworks, advanced analytics methods, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience building AI or automation solutions to streamline analytics and reporting workflows is strongly preferred.
