We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Reception Services Attendant at Macquarie University City campus to join our team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional front-of-house customer service and administrative support while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the reception area, meeting rooms, and building services.
As the first point of contact for visitors, clients, staff, and contractors, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment while supporting office, conferencing, and facilities operations.
Duties include:
- Provide professional front-of-house reception services for staff, students, clients, and visitors.
- Meet, greet, and direct visitors while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.
- Respond to enquiries in person, by phone, and via email, resolving issues or escalating when required.
- Support event delivery and coordinate operational requirements to ensure smooth execution.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing correspondence, calls, mail, and courier deliveries.
- Monitor building facilities and report issues requiring attention.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies and procedures.
ABOUT YOU
You are a customer-focused and proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a professional approach to customer service. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, can effectively manage competing priorities, and take pride in delivering exceptional front-of-house experiences.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience in reception, customer service, hospitality, or administration role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Sound computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to multitask and respond effectively to changing operational requirements.
- Experience supporting meetings, events, or conferencing operations (desirable).
- RSA and First Aid Certification (desirable).
