We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ward Clerk to join our team at St Vincent's Private Hospital Fitzroy.

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
We’re seeking a motivated and friendly individual for a permanent, full time ward clerk role based in Fitzroy.
Your strong clerical experience in addition to your ability to deliver excellent customer service to all hospital staff and patients is critical to this role.
As a Ward Clerk you will play a key part in supporting hospital operations while undertaking the following tasks:
Support patient flow by assisting with Patient Admissions, Transfers and Discharges
Act as a key point of contact for enquiries and ward coordination
Welcome and provide a friendly, professional and helpful service to patients, families, visitors and staff
Answering telephone enquiries and maintaining accurate records using hospital information systems
Manage Medical Records and Patient Documentation
Provide administration support to the Nurse Unit Manager and the ward staff

ABOUT YOU:
You will be a highly organised and process driven individual. Critical to this role is an attention to detail and efficient time management skills.
You are able to handle the fast pace and multiple demands of this position being able to prioritise tasks appropriately to meet timelines and the flow of the hospital.
Your skills will include:
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Previous hospital and or customer service experience
Experience with hospital patient information management system and medical terminology is highly desirable
Proven attention to detail and accuracy
Friendly and approachable with a commitment to patient-centred care
