This position is primarily responsible for configuring endpoints, servers, workstations, and pre-staging network/system appliances in a rack or for configuration. Individuals should be prepared to go onsite to Red River Datacenter as requested. This position also plays a secondary role in managing customer assets while stored in the Red River warehouse to ensure the accuracy of inventory.
Primary Position Tasks:
Ability to follow a defined standard operating procedure when imaging client workstations and dispatch hardware as requested by RRMS clients.
Intermediate knowledge of configuring systems i.e.: computers, network storage, and servers.
Ability to co-lead endpoint refresh projects, on occasion acting as the secondary point of contact with the ability to use numerous imaging concepts such as Intune, Autopilot, SCCM, MDT, JAMF, Apple Business Manager
Ability to read drafts and understand technical instructions, engineering plans, technical designs, and other system integration-related documents
Co-leads multiple pre-staging tasks such as: configuring servers, switches, routers, storage, and other technical devices. Assist with pre-staging tasks such as configuring servers, switches, routers, storage, and other technical devices.
Assist with the configuration of multiple unified racks at once (rack/stack/configure/label/cable) from multiple OEMs.
Ability to communicate and adhere to other members of the Integration Support team and other entities of Red River.
Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma/associate degree required
Required Experience: 2+ years of experience in IT within the imaging and/or integration environment.
Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or Microsoft Technology Associate.
Basic knowledge/experience working with Intune, Azure AD, AutoPilot, SCCM, Apple Business Manager, and JAMF
Minimal of 2 years of experience working with Windows Operation Systems and MacOS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Beginner knowledge of Windows and MacOS
Demonstrated ability to assist with the management of an asset inventory and reconcile data, ensuring high levels of accuracy.
Working proficiency with standard ticketing and inventory management tools (IE: ServiceNow, Autotask, Unanet, Smartsheet, Excel)
Understanding of Active Directory, Share Point, MS Exchange, MS Office 365, and MS 365 portal.
Strong communications skills and possess the ability to provide complete accurate documentation.
Basic to Intermediate understanding of MDT/WDS/SCCM - Manage/Update Golden Images
Ability to be a self-starter and possess good time management skills.
Ability to negotiate outcomes with clients and management team.
Understanding of virtual hypervisors such as VMWare and Hyper-V
Essential Elements (Mental; Physical; Equipment used):
This position requires remaining in a standing/walking position for multiple hours throughout the workday. May be required to help with equipment installation. Lifting of up to 50 lbs may be required.
This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.
Special Requirements:
This position requires travel throughout the local area (DC, MD, VA) and extended regions as needed. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required, and tolls and parking are reimbursed. (Mileage over and above the standard commute is reimbursed pursuant to Red River’s travel reimbursement policy.)
Security applications will be required to be installed on the laptop and the phone (2FA).
Must be able and willing to come to the Red River office in Chantilly, VA daily.
Must be willing to take after-hour dispatch to client site or Red River Datacenter
Must be a US citizen and can meet clearance requirements as needed.
