Description
This role requires Project Management capability to deliver key SCJ programs that require stewardship and reapplication across the region - ensuring sites have robust execution plans in place for capital spending, scheduling, equipment design and resource sufficiency that enables speed and overcomes barriers to deliver with excellence.
From an external perspective, the Regional Engineer is routinely consulted to assess capabilities of new and existing SCJ manufacturing network partners, while providing critical analysis of new product sourcing proposals to enable sourcing decisions.
Finally, in their capacity as PMO, this role will work closely with the Engineering Director and senior Engineering leadership to support key business and operational priorities. This includes preparing insightful analyses, coordinating and managing cross-regional tools and processes, gathering data and inputs from LATAM sites, and synthesizing information into clear recommendations and executive-ready updates. The role offers a unique opportunity to gain direct visibility, build strong connections across regional teams, and contribute to initiatives with high visibility and impact across the organization.
- Serve as the Engineering resource for New Initiatives, Capacity, and Manufacturing Capability projects that typically span across the region.
- Influence Design for Manufacturing and shape project scope to deliver holistic project intent at any target production sites, including use of modelling and simulation.
- Provide early feasibility studies for engineering projects to be executed in internal SCJ sites or EM’s across the region.
- Support project execution including success criteria development, and join design / technical readiness reviews to ensure robust approach – following the Engineering Work Process as appropriate.
- Represent LATAM Eng in Tech Reviews, RAP Meetings, and other routines that involve the whole region.
- Provide insights on long term, post qualification sustainable operations – including identifying opportunity areas for continuous improvement such as obsolescence and line OEE.
- Contribute to improving the SCJ Engineering toolbox and skill development across the Global Engineering community.
