Facilities Manager - JLL
What this job involves: As a Facilities Manager at JLL, you'll be at the forefront of creating exceptional workplace experiences by overseeing the seamless operation, maintenance, and optimization of critical building systems and services. This role demands a strategic thinker who can balance day-to-day operational excellence with long-term facility planning, ensuring that every space we manage meets the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and sustainability. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships while leading cross-functional teams to deliver integrated facilities solutions.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Oversee all facilities operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems, and building automation, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards
Develop and manage operational budgets, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality
Lead, mentor, and coordinate facilities teams including engineers, technicians, and service providers to deliver exceptional results
Conduct regular building inspections and audits, proactively identifying maintenance needs and implementing preventive maintenance programs
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure all third-party service providers meet performance expectations and safety requirements
Respond to facility emergencies and critical incidents with swift, effective solutions that minimize disruption to building operations
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, provide strategic recommendations, and deliver tailored facilities solutions
Drive sustainability initiatives by implementing energy-efficient practices and monitoring environmental performance metrics
Maintain comprehensive documentation including maintenance records, compliance certificates, incident reports, and operational procedures
Required qualifications:
4+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, building operations, or property management
Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems
Proven track record of managing operational budgets and controlling costs while maintaining service excellence
Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing teams and coordinating multiple service providers
Excellent client-facing and communication skills with ability to build strong relationships and manage expectations
Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred qualifications:
Experience managing large-scale commercial, corporate, or institutional facilities
Project management experience including capital improvements, renovations, or building system upgrades
Experience working in a corporate real estate services or third-party facilities management environment
Location: Spencerville, OH
