Description
We're seeking someone to join our team as an Associate in ISG Fixed Income Operations. The role will support independent risk oversight, governance and reporting across the global Fixed Income Operations organization.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. What you'll do in the role:
- Execute processes/functions and/or support process management and project efforts, leveraging knowledge of the systems, markets and instruments that influence the team
- Recognize risk in day-to-day processes to draw out the key issues and contribute to process improvements
- Build relationships within team and internal stakeholders, sharing knowledge to contribute to team output
- Participate in projects and initiatives, aiding in solution formulation with a focus on timely execution
- Support incident management, including fact-finding, impact assessment, escalation, action tracking and lessons learned.
Produce and analyse KRIs and management information, identifying trends, threshold breaches and emerging risks.
Proactively identify risk themes, control weaknesses and potential issues across the FI Operations business, escalating material matters to senior management.
Provide Operations teams with guidance on the application of operational risk and control frameworks, governance standards and escalation requirements.
Support internal and external audits, including evidence collation, stakeholder coordination, issue tracking and remediation monitoring.
Support Business Continuity and Operational Resilience governance, including attestations, testing, exceptions and action tracking.
Oversee Test Account and Trader Mandate exceptions, ensuring timely approvals, escalation and closure.
Support broader control governance, including breaks, fails, checklist hygiene, entitlements, policies, procedures and regulatory deliverables.
Identify opportunities to simplify and automate risk reporting, reconciliations, exception monitoring and action tracking.
Partner with Operations, Technology and other control functions across regions to strengthen the control environment. What you'll bring to the role:
- Ability to establish clear goals and priorities, and address non-standard issues within area of expertise with minimal guidance and supervision
- Subject matter expertise in business area supported, client requirements, and ability to ensure control is not compromised to comply with client requests
- Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values
- Relevant experience in Operations Risk, Fixed Income Operations, controls, audit, governance, business continuity or data analytics.
Understanding of operational risk frameworks, control assessment, issue management and escalation principles.
Ability to analyse data, identify emerging risk themes and translate findings into clear senior-management messages.
Strong Excel skills; experience with Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx, Power Automate, UiPath or similar tools is advantageous.
Knowledge of the Fixed Income trade lifecycle and post-trade processes is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder-management and organisational skills.
High attention to detail, sound judgement and ability to manage multiple time-sensitive deliverables.
