Job Description:
Blake Willson Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Lead Acquisition Advisor to serve as a senior technical and functional authority for federal contracting and procurement matters. In this role, you will lead complex, high-dollar, high-visibility, and mission-critical acquisitions; advise senior government leadership and acquisition stakeholders; establish technical and quality standards; and provide leadership and direction across acquisition workstreams. In this position, you will:
- Lead complex, high-dollar, high-visibility, and mission-critical federal procurements throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
- Advise government leadership and acquisition stakeholders on strategies, contract vehicles, competition, contract types, evaluation methods, timelines, and risks.
- Interpret and apply the FAR, agency supplements, procurement policies, statutory requirements, and client procedures.
- Lead the development and review of acquisition plans, market research, requirements documents, IGCEs, solicitations, source selection plans, evaluations, price analyses, negotiations, and award documentation.
- Lead complex source selections and provide expert guidance on proposal evaluations, price reasonableness, negotiation strategies, and award decisions.
- Advise clients on complex pre-award and post-award matters, including modifications, options, funding actions, performance issues, and claims-related matters.
- Establish quality standards, conduct compliance reviews, and develop templates, procedures, checklists, internal controls, and process improvements.
- Lead concurrent acquisition workstreams, brief senior leadership, coordinate stakeholders, mentor acquisition personnel, and resolve escalated technical matters.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Acquisition Management, Contract Management, or a related field.
- 12 years of progressively responsible federal acquisition, contracting, or procurement experience, preferably as a Federal Contracting Officer, Senior Contract Specialist, Procurement Analyst, Acquisition Advisor, or acquisition leader.
- 8 years of experience independently leading complex or high-dollar federal acquisitions, including acquisition strategy, solicitation development, source selection, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, and contract administration.
- 5 years of experience leading acquisition teams or concurrent procurement workstreams and providing technical direction, quality assurance, and guidance to acquisition professionals.
Desired Skills:
- Master’s degree in Business, Contract Management, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Significant experience as a Federal Contracting Officer, Senior Contract Specialist, Procurement Analyst, Acquisition Advisor, or acquisition leader.
- Current or prior Contracting Officer warrant.
- FAC-C Professional, legacy FAC-C Level III, DAWIA Contracting certification, or equivalent acquisition credentials.
- Experience managing or advising on major, high-dollar, or mission-critical federal procurements, including FAR Part 15 competitive negotiated acquisitions.
- Extensive experience with GSA Schedules, GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, task orders, and other governmentwide contract vehicles.
- Experience supporting acquisition policy development, compliance assessments, procurement management reviews, or bid protest response and mitigation.
- Experience developing acquisition workforce training, SOPs, templates, quality-control frameworks, process improvements, or procurement modernization initiatives.

Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
