What You'll Do
As a Behavioral Health RN, you will play a critical role in creating a safe, therapeutic environment while delivering high-quality patient care.
Patient Care & Clinical Excellence
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
- Provide crisis intervention and behavioral health support when needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Promote patient safety through observation, intervention, and therapeutic communication.
Collaboration & Advocacy
- Partner with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery goals.
- Advocate for patient rights, dignity, and individualized treatment needs.

Schedule
Full-Time Opportunities Available
12-hour shifts
Weekend rotation required
Day Shift
- 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
Night Shift
6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Qualifications
Required
- Current Texas RN License or Compact State RN License eligible to practice in Texas
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
Preferred
- Behavioral Health, Psychiatric, Mental Health, Pediatric, or Acute Care nursing experience
- Previous inpatient psychiatric hospital experience
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and behavioral health treatment planning
- Experience working with adolescents and/or acute psychiatric populations
